Landmark judgment of Delhi High Court for people with Hemophilia

In a landmark order, the Delhi High Court has directed the Delhi State Government to make the Anti Hemophilic Factor (a life saving drug) available to people suffering with Hemophilia [Vide Civil writ Petition No. 16326/2006]...... Click here for more.

2007 AGM at Bangalore; New Executive Committee elected:

24th Annual General Meeting of Hemophilia Federation (India) was held in Bangalore from 29th to 30th of September 2007. The meeting started with the welcome address by the President of HFI, Dr.Suresh Hanagavadi, followed by lighting of lamp and welcome address by Mr. Biswanath Bhattacharya, President of Hemophilia Society, Bangalore Chapter.

2008 - Silver Jubilee Year of HFI:

HFI gears up for 25th year celebration. This year will be earmarked for Hemophilia Awareness in India. We have a series of events lined up starting from 17th April (WHD). Details are being worked on by the Managing Committee and will be available from Jan 08.

HFI puts up a stall at the Green Schools Award Ceremony:

Centre for Science and Environment, Delhi, organised the Green Schools Award ceremony to acknowledge the top 20 Green Schools of the country on 17 December, 2007 at India Habitat Center. This year they celebrated the occasion as a The Gobar Times Festival. HFI was invited to put up a awareness stall to sensitize school students, their parents and the teachers about Hemophilia. School children from across the country have put up stalls showcasing the environmental audit method and its process through charts, models etc. The festivities include street plays, dance performances, film shows, on-the-spot painting competition, and much more.
